The Community Choice Power Supply program gives Marlborough choice and control over the source of our electricity and will stabilize our electricity bills in the future by using the bulk buying power of over 17,000 ratepayers.

The City of Marlborough has worked with the Massachusetts Division of Energy Resources (DOER) to create a plan that will be beneficial to ALL customer classes.

The purpose of this Community Choice Power Supply Program is to represent consumer interests in competitive markets for electricity. It seeks to aggregate consumers in Marlborough to negotiate the best rates for the supply of electricity and to advance consumer protection for the residents and businesses of Marlborough. Any individual has the opportunity to decline service provided through the Plan at anytime and choose any electric supplier they wish.

HOW TO OPT-OUT

Opting out of the City's Community Choice Power Supply Program is easy.

Newly eligible consumers (for example, those who have moved into Marlborough recently) will be notified by direct mail after turning on electric service with National Grid. The mailing will detail all aspects of the Program and will contain instructions for opting out of the City's Community Choice Power Supply Program, should you choose to do so.

Simply sign and return the postage paid reply card that you receive in the mailing from the City that describes the program.

At any time after the June 1, 2007 start of the program, participating consumers may call ConEdision Solutions, Inc. at 1-866-469-8361 and ask to cancel your account.
